Microsoft helps start-up community in HCM City

Ho Chi Minh City, January 18 (VNA) – Saigon Innovation Hub (SiHub) under the HCM City Energy Conservation Centre and Microsoft Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on January 17 on supporting start-ups in the southern region.

Under the MoU, the two sides will collaborate to assist the formation and operation of the start-up ecosystem in HCM City, promote communications activities on innovative start-ups and develop start-up culture.

The MoU also cements Microsoft’s pledge in assisting the government and Vietnamese organisations in boosting IT capability and optimising the implementation and use of IT.

According to Vu Minh Tri, general director of Microsoft Vietnam, the cooperation will help the start-up circle in HCM City get better access to advanced technology tools and effective training courses as well as connect with global start-up network, thus boosting their operation capability.
