Long Hai seaweed jelly

Made from the natural materials of seaweed and konjac, Long Hai jelly is a favorite snack for many people.
Established in 2000 with a production line using simple technology, Long Hai Co., Ltd. has grown into a leading seaweed jelly producer which owns the most advanced factory in the north. The 11,000 m2 factory worth nearly 6 million US dollars operates at Industrial Cluster I in Hai Duong province. The factory is furnished with state-of-the-art production lines and quality control and inspection labs according to ISO standard 22000:2005.

Long Hai now has a dealer network of 105 distributors, 400 salespeople and 40,000 retailers in 63 cities and provinces nationwide. With nearly 1,000 workers, the company produces 200 tons of seaweed jelly per day, with an annual revenue of 1 trillion dong (43 million US dollars).

Long Hai has secured a firm foothold in Vietnam, and is targeting foreign markets. Many of its products sell well in the domestic market, including seaweed jelly, liquid jelly, Natty yogurt jelly, Caramel Lapatie jelly, Excite drinking jelly and Japanese-style Kimiko drinking jelly.

Last year, the company built a factory in Ninh Thuan to process natural seaweed into carrageenan powder to supply materials for jelly production in Hai Duong.

“Long Hai constantly renews its products to cater to customer’s’ needs,” general director Nguyen Thi Khanh Thien said, adding that the company operates an online mart where it can directly receive feedback from buyers. Annually, the company launches various promotion events and campaigns to connect with customers.
