The 74th General Assembly and Congress of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) will take place in late April at the Military Zone 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Military Zone 7 held a meeting on March 14 to prepare for the event, which is expected to attract delegates from 100 nations and territories.
The CISM is one of the largest multidisciplinary organisations in the world. The council organises various sporting events for the armed forces of its 138 member countries and territories.
It annually holds more than 20 Military World Championships for approximately 30 different sports, continental and regional competitions, the Military World Games and most recently Winter Games and World Cadet Games.
