Hanoi Party chief hopes for stronger ties with Germany’s Hessen State

Hanoi, March 2 (VNA) – Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai has hoped that Hanoi and Hessen state of Germany will further bilateral partnership across education-training, vocational training, medical science and hi-tech industry.

He expressed the wish during a reception for President of the Organisation for Supporting World University of Germany Kambiz Ghawami, who is also representative for the Hessen state in charge of cooperation with Vietnam.

Given the current rapid urbanisation and fast growing population, Hanoi wishes to learn from other cities’ experience in many fields, particularly in urban transport infrastructure, education and vocational training, Hai stated.

Ghawami, in reply, hailed the long-standing educational ties between Vietnam and Germany over the past time, as evidenced by the Vietnamese-German University in Ho Chi Minh City.

He said he hopes both sides would increase exchanges in the fields of urban transport development, science-technology, justice and waste treatment technology.

The guest vowed to work to promote bilateral ties, particularly in education and vocational training.
