Of those, 3,520 new houses are being constructed and 3,778 others are being repaired, with an estimated cost of almost 379 billion VND (16.7 million USD), sourced from the State budget.

Some of these difficulties are the large number of recipients and unclear criteria for deteriorated houses, thus making it hard to decide the level of financial assistance.
Thanh suggested a number of measures to these issues, including faster disbursement of the construction funds, which should be updated following current market prices.
