First Beautycare Expo kicks off in Hanoi

The Beautycare Expo – an international exhibition for beauty products, technologies, and services – opened in Hanoi on January 9.

The first edition of the expo features exhibitors from countries and territories around the world, including Canada, the US, Italy, Israel, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The nearly 200 booths are showcasing beauty technologies and equipment, cosmetics, perfumes, hair care products, nutritional foods, beauty salon and aesthetic equipment, and others.

The event offers Vietnamese firms access to modern technology so they can develop their products and seek potential partners to expand their markets.

Leading enterprises in the beauty industry like VINHY Company and Quantum Heathcare are showcasing the latest technologies, such as laser, intense pulse light, radiofrequency, and high-intensity focused ultrasound; while NEU Skin is introducing anti-ageing products and high-quality cosmeceutical products from the US and the UK.

Alongside high-tech products for hospitals and beauty salons, exhibitors have also been introducing mini spa equipment. Many pavilions allow visitors to try new products, or even new hairstyles and other activities.

The expo is also hosting the first Vietnam Korea Master Beauty Contest, which is designed to honour artisans in seven segments – hair styling, skin care, nail care, make-up, massage and acupuncture, tattoo spraying, and eyelash extension – with lucrative prizes for the winners.

Seminars at the expo will facilitate the transfer of technologies related to natural product lines for skin and hair and other beauty fields by international firms to their Vietnamese counterparts.

Organised by Adpex JSC, the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Companies Association, the Vietnam Association of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and the General Department of Vocational Training, the expo is being held at Hanoi International Exhibition Centre, at No.91 Tran Hung Dao street, until January 12.
