After graduating from Hoa Binh university with a degree in fashion design, Nhat Thuc started working as a designer and manager at Sen, a popular brand of ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress).
Thuc impressed fashion lovers with his fashion show of three ao dai collections: “Tuong masks”, “Memories of the ancient capital” and “Viet power” at the Vietnamese Traditional Culture Festival and International Cultural Exchange held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi.
“Tuong masks” features 20 designs inspired by tuong- the Vietnamese traditional classical opera, while “Memories of the ancient capital” introduces 15 designs which tell the historical tale of Dinh Bo Linh, the first king of Dai Co Viet. “Viet power” includes 15 designs showcasing the beauty and nobleness of royal women in the past.
Each of Thuc’s collections has its own unique style with the designer’s use of diverse materials, including silk, chiffon, taffeta and brocade.
Each of Thuc’s ao dai collections is a harmonious combination of the folk culture and modern life which shows off the elegant beauty of Vietnamese women while promoting traditional cultural values.
