This National Day holiday (September 2), residents and visitors to Hanoi have the opportunity to journey back in time through “Tour Yeu nuoc: Cham vao ky uc mot thoi” (Patriotic Tour: Touching memories of a bygone era).
More than an exhibition space, the “Patriotic tour” offers an immersive approach to history, using multisensory experiences to revive memories and connect generations. Photo: VNA
The tour allows visitors to witness Hanoi during the 1970s and 1980s by exploring the settings, artifacts, and immersive experiences of the “Subsidy Era” at the Hanoi Memories Cultural Space (located at 11A Ngu Xa, Ba Dinh Ward).
“Patriotic Tour: Touching memories of a bygone era” is a cultural initiative developed by the Ba Dinh Ward’s People’s Committee to turn memories of the capital’s past into an experiential tourism product. Photo: VNA
Through everyday stories, the program helps different generations, especially young people, gain a deeper understanding of that challenging period and the nation-building efforts of their forebears, while also creating a new experiential tourism product centered on Hanoi’s memories./.
