TCI A Bright Spot in Supporting Industry

After 11 years of development, with 300 professional employees, Tri Cuong Industrial Company Limited (TCI) has affirmed its position and prestige in the field of mechanical engineering and supporting industry. The company now provides its products for foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in Vietnam and exports to foreign markets.

Le Thanh Thuy, founder and CEO of TCI
Le Thanh Thuy, founder and CEO of TCI, said that after many years of working and studying the Japanese market, he decided to invest in manufacturing products in the supporting industry. In 2006, TCI had a small workshop of 300m2. At the beginning, TCI faced tremendous difficulties in looking for Japanese partners to expand its production scale. To manufacture high quality products, meeting the requirements from Japanese customers, TCI had to have a lot of money and a well-trained staff. Also, its CEO had to be able to manage well the enterprise’s operation. Therefore, Thuy and his coworkers had to do their utmost, study business administration, seek customers and mobilise capital resources to expand production facilities.

An opportunity finally came when the Tsubaki Corporation of Japan visited the company’s production facility. They saw the great potential of TCI and decided to order products worth 20,000 US dollars. It was a great challenge for TCI because it was the first products for a Japanese customer which would decide the success of TCI in the field of supplying products for FDI enterprises. After the first batch, Tsubaki Corporation became TCI’s long-term, reliable partner.

In 2015, TCI invested 70 billion dong to build a modern factory on a total area of 6,500m2 in Nguyen Khe industrial zone, Dong Anh district, Hanoi. The company bought machines, varied the product category and promoted production. With the business motto of “Cooperation for Value Added”, TCI products have satisfied Japan’s fastidious customers with good quality, competitive prices, punctual delivery and perfect service.

In the past, TCI exported 90% of its products on-the-spot to FDI enterprises operating in Vietnam and 5% to Japan. From 2013 to 2015, ICI expanded the market to Europe.
