Scorched rice with seafood

Scorched rice with seafood is a unique selection for a food tour in the port city of Hai Phong.
As a variation of Ninh Binh’s scorched rice, but with a different way of eating, scorched rice with seafood has become a typical dish. It makes everyone who has eaten the dish want to try it again.

It is quite difficult to cook the dish. After cooking, the scorched rice is dried and then fried until crispy. The rice must be light yellowish-brown, sticky and crunchy. A large crispy rice piece is cut into small squares and put on a plate.

The secret of this specialty is the seafood sauce which is made from shrimp, crab, squid, geoduck and clams. The seafood is cooked with tomato and fish sauce that creates a special taste for the dish.

A piece of scorched rice dipped into the sauce will make diners taste the wonderful blend of the sweet and fragrant flavor of seafood and the crispiness of rice.
