Bread made from dragon fruit

After the debut of dragon fruit bread, crowds in Ho Chi Minh City lined up outside ABC Bakery locations hoping to buy some. Kao Sieu Luc, the founder of ABC Bakery decided to share his recipe to make bread from red dragon fruit with the aim of supporting famers to deal with troubles due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

As the president of the International Bakery Association of Southeast Asia, Luc is hopeful that many people can make bread from red dragon fruit using his recipe to help famers buy the unsold fruit as Vietnam closed its borders with China due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The special ingredient of the unique bread is red dragon fruit.

With natural flavor of fruit and a unique taste, the bread has received good feedback from customers. It has been voted and recommended on cuisine forums and pages, in which it is praised to be crispy, light, sweet and tasty. 
Mix five kilos flour with 1.4 kilos red dragon fruit flesh (instead of 60% water for the usual recipe). Add milk, sugar and ferment and mold quickly in six minutes and slowly in two minutes and then ferment for 180 minutes. Bake the bread as usual.
