Skypec: For safe flights

After over two decades of growth, Skypec has become a leading airplane fuel supplier serving four domestic airlines and 60 foreign air carriers, including Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, All Nippon Airways, and Qatar Airways.
Established in 1993, Skypec was the precursor of Vietnam Air Petrol Company (Vinapco). In 1994, the company began to directly import petrochemical products with the target of becoming a prestigious fuel supplier for domestic and international airlines in Vietnam.

In July 2010, Skypec operated as a limited liability single member company owned by Vietnam Airlines. The company has a statutory capital of 400 billion dong (roughly 17.4 million US dollars) and a staff of nearly 1,300.

“To become a leading air fuel supplier in the current context of international integration, Skypec always puts technological renovation and service quality as its top priority,” General Director Nguyen Manh Tuan said.

To meet the criteria of air fuel quality, the company has built three laboratories with international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005. It also has a quality management system according to standard ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 9001:2008.

The company has upgraded its management systems in the fuel supply chain to quality management standard ISO 9001:2015; and safety control standard DOC 9859, AC 003 which are approved by the Vietnam Aviation Administration. It has also built a system of testing laboratories in the northern, central and southern regions of standard ISO/IEC 17025.

Skypec has been selected as the only Jet-A1 fuel supplier for airlines at Van Don international airport in Quang Ninh.

Skypec was the fuel supplier for the military flight carrying Vietnamese officers on a UN peacekeeping mission to South Sudan on September 30, 2018.

Skypec supplied fuel for more than 200,000 flights in 2018.
With its business slogan “Brand of Trust”, Skypec aims for the image of an international professional and friendly business.

“Skypec’s vision is to become the top air fuel supplier in Vietnam and a prestigious brand in the Southeast Asian air fuel market, with its five core values of safety, professionalism, efficiency, trust and for the community,” said Nguyen Manh Tuan.
