Exploring the XQ Embroidery Gallery

Located opposite the scenic Mong Mo Hill, XQ Embroidery Gallery (also known as XQ Da Lat Embroidery Gallery) really impressed visitors with its unique architecture which is a combination of interconnected wooden construction designed like the ancient houses in Hue. 
The 2ha XQ Embroidery Gallery has now become  a don’t miss tourist destination in the journey to discover the nature, culture and people of Da Lat and embroidery art in Vietnam.

 XQ Embroidery Gallery is on Mai Anh Dao Street, Da Lat.

It is constructed in traditional Hue architecture in an area of 2ha.

Hoang Le Xuan, a Hue-rooted artisan who has skillful embroidery techniques inherited from her family, and her husband, painter Vo Van Quan, created the XQ embroidery brand. It is a combination between traditional hand embroidery and painting that makes their products unique and brings a refreshing touch to Vietnamese traditional embroidery. The couple established XQ Embroidery Gallery with the aim of introducing their XQ embroidery brand to the public and organising cultural and artistic activities related to embroidery on a regular basis.

Visiting the gallery, tourists can watch the process of female artisans who are very skilled in embroidering. For those who are enthusiastic about embroidery, there are classes with artisans instructing. The combination of the process and the display of embroidered works forms a space of artistic values. The gallery is also a store of diverse embroidered pictures of  scenery, feng shui and portraits; double sided embroidered pictures; and pictures made with new techniques. Pictures are displayed depending on their topics,  encouraging visitors to explore.

The XQ Embroidery Pictures Centre is the place where people can both admire pictures and buy some as souvenirs. A space is also devoted to honour artisans and another area is used to display the history of embroidery, along with other display spaces that are delicately and creatively arranged.
