Non-biodegradable plastic straws have been widely used over the last century, causing the depletion of marine life in many countries, including Vietnam. To change this plastic habit, many restaurants have opted to purchase and only use bamboo straws.

Acknowledging the destruction and havoc that plastic straws have caused to the environment, many restaurants are now choosing bamboo or metal alternatives. This move has received positive feedback from customers.

This action not only receive big rounds of applause from young Vietnamese citizens, but also from foreigners.
