The final was witnessed by an audience of more than 5,000 people plus many more TV viewers as the event was broadcast live on many domestic and international TV networks.
After the first show, 14 beauties were picked to represent the countries of Ecuador, India, Italy, Japan, Holland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Czech Republic, South Africa, Thailand, Ukraine, the United States of America, Venezuela and Vietnam. 
  

In the behaviour contest, which played the decisive role in the final, seven beauties from India, Venezuela, Ecuador, South Africa, Puerto, Thailand and Japan competed. Nicole Faria, from India, won the affection of the judges with her response to the question: "For you, what is more important: sunrise or sunset?" She answered: "I will obviously choose sunrise because whenever we see the sunrise, people will think about a new day filled with energy. A new day offers 24 hours to do good things for ourselves and other people." With this clever answer, the Indian Miss Beauty, Nicole Faria, successfully surpassed her rivals to win the crown "Miss Earth 2010" and became an ambassador of the World Miss Earth Pageant with the duty of attending activities advocating the protection of the environment throughout the world in the coming year.
Together with the crown of Miss Earth, there are other titles, including Miss Earth-Air (1st runner-up) to Jennifer Stephanie Pazmino (Ecuador), Miss Earth-Water (2nd runner-up) to Watsaporn Wattanakoon (Thailand) and Miss Earth-Fire (3rd runner-up) to Yeidy Bosquez (Puerto Rico).
