Fireworks Illuminate Ho Chi Minh City’s 50th Anniversary

Fireworks illuminated the sky over Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of July 2, 2026, as the city celebrated the 50th anniversary of Saigon–Gia Dinh being officially named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 – July 2, 2026).

Artistic fireworks displays were simultaneously staged at 16 locations across the city. The largest fireworks site, located at the entrance to the Saigon River Tunnel in An Khanh Ward, featured 1,000 high-altitude fireworks combined with a large-scale low-altitude pyrotechnic system, creating a magnificent spectacle over the city center.

Thousands of residents and visitors gathered along the Saigon River, especially around Ba Son Bridge and the Saigon Marina IFC area, to enjoy the dazzling display. The brilliant bursts of color lighting up the night sky created an atmosphere of joy, pride, and celebration in the city named after President Ho Chi Minh.
