Southeast Asian outlook positive

Hanoi , September 13 (VNA) – The outlook for Southeast Asian markets is positive in the future despite uncertainty over interest rate.

Expansion of the middle income group, urbanisation and a rise in production could create a positive impact on to the region’s economies, especially Indonesia and the Philippines , according to a report from Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

However, it remains cautious on Malaysia and Thailand as household consumption is seeing a downward trend.

An optimistic forecast was given to Singapore , but the country needs to be cautious because its government’s restructuring could drag the economy down.

Among the ballots used at the congress were three featuring posters of President Ho Chi Minh and one bearing an image depicting the Vietnamese people engaged in production during the period of resistance against foreign aggression. The latter also carried the inscriptions “80th Anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day” and “33rd National Congress of the PCU".
