International paragliding tournament opens in Hanoi

The 2017 Vietnam Paragliding Open  was recently held in Chuong My district, Hanoi to promote the development of this new sport in Vietnam and support it to become an official competition in Southeast Asia.
 
The official international paragliding competition was held by the National Sports Administration, Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi Paragliding Club and Hanoi Vietwings Paragliding Club.

The event attracted more than 60 paragliders from local and foreign paragliding clubs. The contestants were on seven teams, including five Vietnamese teams. The paragliders competed in accuracy landing under international standards and rules of paragliding competition.

An adventurous sport, paragliding attracts participants who love to discover and challenge themselves. The event also created a chance for foreign paragliders to see the beauty of Hanoi from above.
