Bohemia is a famous crystal brand name of the Czech Republic for products, such as glasses, wine sets, souvenirs and decorations. In Vietnam, only few enterprises are capable of producing such high-end crystal products, so HAS with its transparent crystal products quickly carved a niche in the domestic market.
The company was established by Nguyen Thi Hoa who was born into a family with the tradition of crystal glass production in Thai Binh Province. After graduating from university in 2000, Hoa worked for a company which specialised in distributing and making Bohemia crystal products of the Czech Republic. During her 12 years working in that company, she had the opportunity to work with foreign experts and accumulated experience and knowledge about this type of product. She then decided to establish her own company and successfully researched a new production line of Bohemia glassware.
HAS now owns a Bohemia glassware factory on Quoc Huong Road, Thao Dien Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The company’s products vary in styles and sizes, each made in different colours, such as yellow, green, blue, vermillion, pink and purple. Many designs are made in classical and royal styles with gilt or carved decorative patterns. All the materials are imported from Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.
According to Hoa, it is quite difficult to satisfy foreign customers as they have good taste and are picky, so besides advanced technology and modern production lines, HAS’ Bohemia crystal production also requires the skills of the workers.
HAS has now become one of the leading distributors and producers of crystal products in Vietnam. Its products are sold in most provinces nationwide and its high-end crystal souvenirs are the favourite of big groups and corporations. Each year, the company reaches sales of about 40 billion dong and occupies about 40% of the export market share in the US, Europe and some Asian countries like Japan and Singapore. Also, it is privileged to be the distributor of Bohemia crystal products for some companies from the Czech Republic.
