The second Vietnam Coffee Day will be held in Gia Nghia town, the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong, from December 9-12.

The information was announced by the provincial People’s Committee at a press conference on November 28.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Dak Nong provincial People’s Committee and the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association are organisers of the programme.

According to Truong Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, this year’s event will feature a wide range of activities including a ceremony to celebrate the Vietnam Coffee Day, a contest for good coffee producers, a scientific workshop on processing industry development to increase added value for the Central Highlands’ key products.

The organizing board will organise an international seminar on sustainable coffee development in Vietnam.

During the programme, visitors will enjoy free coffee at 40 stalls introducing products of coffee producers and processors nationwide.

The Vietnam Coffee Day aims to honour outstanding coffee growers and producers. This is also an occasion for organisations, individuals and business in Dak Nong province and the country in general to promote their trademarks and products as well as introduce the image of Vietnamese coffee to the world.
