Bobby Chinn introduces Vietnamese delicacies to Singaporeans

Singapore, Sept. 7 (VNA) – Vietnam’s Tourism Ambassador to Europe, Chef Bobby Chinn is in Singapore to share his interpretation of Vietnamese cuisine to tourists to the island country and Singaporeans as well.

In three evenings, from Sept. 6-8, the menu at Movenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa feature many of Bobby’s signature dishes from his restaurants in Vietnam as well as his new restaurant in London, the House of Ho. The dishes include different kinds of “Pho Cuon” (Wrap & Roll), Crab Pomelo Salad, Seafood Ceviche, tuna tartare and many more, which, as Bobby told Vietnam News Agency’s reporter in Singapore, are all made of caught/raised-in-Vietnam seafood and made-in-Vietnam spices. “Vietnamese fish-sauce is the best” and “tuna is the best in Vietnam”, he said.

Bobby said, “Since I was appointed Vietnam’s Tourism Ambassador to Europe (in July 2014), I have done many interviews in Italy, England and many regions in Vietnam”.

The Vietnam’s Tourism Ambassador to Europe noted that he had joined Vietnamese cuisine promotion events in Thailand and Indonesia, now in Singapore and in the remaining months of this year, Europe.

He said in those countries he did something unique which haven’t seen from other Tourism Ambassadors in other countries, adding “I cook the food, explain it and teach it” as he thought it the fast way for people to understand the culture, the people and their food.

The message that Vietnam’s Tourism Ambassador Bobby Chinn would like to convey to everyone is let’s come to Vietnam as “Vietnam has something very special” and taste “authentic Vietnamese delicacies” as “Vietnamese food is very healthy”.
