The ancient town of Hoi An will offer free entrance to visitors next week as the world cultural heritage site is celebrating its 19th anniversary of UNESCO recognition.
Accordingly, visitors will not have to pay the entrance tickets when exploring Hoi An Ancient Town and Thanh Ha pottery village on December 4.
Normally, the entrance ticket for Hoi An Ancient Town is 120,000 dong (roughly 5 US dollars) for a foreign visitor, and 80,000 dong (3.5 US dollars) for a local. The ticket prices are respectively 25,000 dong and 15,000 dong for visitors to Thanh Ha pottery village.
The free entrance is part of the activities to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the UNESCO-world cultural heritage of Hoi An Ancient Town, said Vo Phung, Director of Hoi An Culture, Sports and Tourism Center.
