Tran Ba Duong, chairman of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco), is listed for the second time, ranking 1,349th with 1.7 billion US dollars.
Newcommer Ho Hung Anh, chairman of Techcombank, also ranks 1,349th in the world with 1.7 billion US dollars.
Chairman and founder of Masan Group Nguyen Dang Quang also makes to the list for the first time with a net worth of 1.3 billion US dollars, ranking 1717th in the world.
Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos is again number 1 in the world with 131 billion US dollars, followed by Bill Gates, Cofounder of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with 96.5 billion US dollars.
There are 2,153 billionaires on Forbes’ 2019 list, 55 fewer than a year ago. Of those, a record 994, or 46%, are poorer than they were last year. In total, the ultra-rich are worth 8.7 trillion US dollars, down 400 billion US dollars from 2018.
