The 11th Meeting of the 13th National Assembly: Key State Positions Voted

The 11th and last meeting of the 13th National Assembly took place from March 21 to April 12, 2016. During the session, the National Assembly reviewed the performances of the State, the National Assembly and the Government agencies and adopted some important draft laws. The National Assembly also examined and made decisions on the dismissal, election and approval of some state leaders.

The National Assembly voted National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan as National Assembly Chairwoman, Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang as State President and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc as Prime Minister.

Vietnam-Australia Ties Become comprehensive Strategic Partnership

After over 50 years of diplomatic relations, Vietnam and Australia have built a solid and comprehensive relationship based on mutual strategic trust and understanding. During the official visit to Australia by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in March, upon the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, both sides announced the upgrade of their bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
