Thanh Tri steamed rice rolls named national intangible cultural heritage

The craft of making “banh cuon Thanh Tri” (Thanh Tri steamed rice rolls) has officially been added to Vietnam’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

“Banh cuon Thanh Tri” is known as one of Hanoi's cuisine quintessences, as the process of making Thanh Tri rice rolls is the culmination of folk knowledge and handcrafted skills passed down through many generations. The craft's registration is not only an acknowledgment of a long-standing traditional craft but also upholding Hanoi’s long standing culinary traditions./.
