Dong Ky Communal House, a National Historical and Cultural Relic

Built during the Ly Dynasty, Dong Ky Communal House, located in Dong Nguyen Ward, Bac Ninh province, has withstood the passage of time, wars, and multiple restoration efforts while retaining its traditional architectural character. The site serves as an important center for cultural and spiritual activities of the local community and is also a notable destination for visitors to the Kinh Bac region.

The communal house is situated on an area of more than 23,000m2 at the edge of the village and preserves a number of original structures, including the three-entrance gate, the main ceremonial hall, the rear sanctuary, and auxiliary buildings. Dong Ky Communal House is dedicated to the village tutelary deity, Saint Thien Cuong, who, according to legend, made significant contributions in repelling the Xich Quy and An invaders during the reign of the sixth Hung King.

In 1988, Dong Ky Communal House was officially recognized by the State as a National Historical and Cultural Relic.
