Jubilant celebrations welcome the New Year of 2015

On the night of December 31, 2014, people in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other major cities in Vietnam jubilantly celebrated the New Year of 2015. In the fairly cold atmosphere of winter, thousands of Hanoians poured into major streets or gathered at amusement areas downtown to mark the start of 2015. This year, people in Ho Chi Minh City feel more eager and joyful to welcome the New Year as they will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam and the national reunification. Ushering in the New Year, millions of Vietnamese are fully confident about a new year of prosperity, growth, peace and happiness.
