Tam Xuan Fishermen in Da Nang Enjoy Bumper Catch During National Day Holiday

Although Vietnam is celebrating the National Day holiday on September 2, many fishermen in southern Da Nang City continue to head out to sea, returning with bumper catches and bringing a festive atmosphere to the local coastal community.

From early morning, dozens of fishing boats arrive at Tam Tien fish market in Tam Xuan Commune after a night at sea. The boats carry fresh fish, shrimp, squid, and other seafood, which are quickly unloaded and sold to traders and visitors. The busy scene of boats coming ashore, fishermen unloading their catch, and traders sorting seafood creates a lively start to the day.

For local fishermen, a good catch during the National Day holiday is a source of both income and encouragement. Despite rough seas and changing weather, they continue their traditional livelihood, making the most of favorable fishing conditions.

The bustling market also reflects the close connection between fishing and the coastal economy. Fresh seafood from the boats is distributed to markets, restaurants, and households, contributing to the holiday atmosphere while providing visitors with a taste of the region’s rich marine resources.
