In recent years, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 5 have consistently implemented the “Determination to Win” emulation movement in a practical, effective, and wide-reaching manner, creating strong momentum for the successful fulfillment of assigned tasks. The movement has been closely integrated with efforts to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, helping enhance political awareness, discipline, and professional responsibility among naval personnel.
Emulation goals are closely aligned with the unit’s core political and defense missions, particularly the task of safeguarding national sovereignty and maintaining security in Viet Nam’s southwestern seas and islands. Through specific and measurable criteria, the movement has encouraged officers and soldiers to improve combat readiness, raise training quality, and strengthen coordination in maritime patrol and law enforcement operations.
