Hanoi’s Old Streets and Traditional Crafts at the Temple of Literature

Hanoi’s past and present have been brought to life in a programme entitled Net Kinh Ky (Essence of the Imperial Capital) at the Temple of Literature special national relic site, as part of the second Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2026.

 

Inspired by the streetscapes and architecture, traditional craft streets, and daily life of ancient Thang Long, the programme showcases images and historical artefacts from Hanoi’s historic “36 Streets” and offers visitors hands-on workshops with traditional craftspeople.

The programme tells the story of a Hanoi rich in history and culture, while highlighting a capital that remains dynamic and continues to evolve with modern life.

It runs through September 19 at No. 58 Quoc Tu Giam Street.
