Hanoi targets advanced and Transparent agriculture

Hanoi is developing safe agricultural supply chains based on advanced production standards, traceability, and digital transformation to build modern and transparent agriculture.

At Van Duc agricultural production, business and service cooperative in Bat Trang Commune, production is closely monitored from cultivation and harvesting to distribution. This helps control product quality to meet increasingly high market requirements. Stronger links between producers and distributors are also helping form stable and safe agricultural supply chains.

According to Director Dao Quang Vinh, the Vinh Anh Food Technology JSC in Thuong Tin Commune has invested nearly 100 billion dong (about 3.85 million US dollars) in a processing facility with a capacity of about 600 pigs per shift. It works with large-scale farms to establish an integrated chain covering livestock production, slaughtering, processing, and distribution with the products labeled with QR codes to trace their origin.

Ta Van Tuong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, said the city will continue developing market-driven centralized production zones and encourage businesses to renew technology, expand processing 5 and accelerate digital transformation in the entire value chain.

The city will also provide support in product traceability, farming-area codes and quality certifications while strengthening links between producers and sellers. These efforts are expected to increase the value and competitiveness of the city’s agricultural products domestically and internationally.
