Community Joins Hands to Clean Up Mui Ne Beaches

The People’s Committee of Mui Ne ward, Lam Dong province, mobilised local forces, officials, young people and residents on September 19-20, 2026, to clean up marine debris washed ashore along the coastline.

The activity came as large amounts of ocean waste had accumulated on several beaches in Mui Ne, affecting environmental sanitation, the coastal landscape and tourism activities.

Volunteers worked together to collect plastic waste, fishing gear, branches and other debris carried ashore by waves and tides. The waste was then sorted and transported for proper disposal.

The clean-up not only helped restore the appearance of the beaches but also raised public awareness of protecting the marine environment. Local residents and young people played an active role, turning the activity into a practical community effort to keep the coastline clean.
