Artistic Exchange Strengthens Vietnam-Colombia Friendship
An artistic exchange between a Colombian youth dance troupe and local teenagers took place in Hoi An, Da Nang, on September 16, offering young people from the two countries an opportunity to connect through music and dance.
Co-organised by the Embassy of Colombia, the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Centre, the programme promoted cultural exchange and helped strengthen friendship between Vietnam and Colombia.
The Colombian dancers presented traditional and contemporary performances, showcasing the vibrant rhythms and cultural diversity of their country. Local teenagers also took part in the programme, introducing Vietnamese cultural expressions and sharing their own artistic performances.
The exchange created a lively space for young participants to learn about each other’s cultures and traditions. Beyond the performances, the programme encouraged direct interaction, helping participants build friendships and gain a better understanding of the similarities and differences between the two cultures.
Held in Hoi An, a UNESCO-recognised World Heritage site known for its rich cultural heritage, the event also highlighted the role of culture and young people in promoting people-to-people connections.
The programme formed part of efforts to expand cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Colombia, particularly among younger generations. Through music, dance and direct exchanges, it provided a meaningful platform for young people to share their cultures and contribute to closer ties between the two countries.
