Tay Ninh Targets at Least Three Logistics Centers by 2030
The southern province of Tay Ninh aims to attract investment in at least three logistics centers, two wholesale markets, and three to five shopping malls and supermarkets by 2030. The plan is part of efforts to modernize commercial infrastructure, improve the movement of goods, strengthen regional connectivity, and capitalize on international trade opportunities.
Of the three planned logistics centers, at least one will be linked to a border-gate economic zone or a seaport, helping facilitate import-export activities and improve the efficiency of supply chains. With its strategic location along the border with Cambodia, Tay Ninh has significant potential to expand cross-border trade and develop logistics services connecting Viet Nam with regional markets.
The development of logistics facilities is expected to support local production and distribution while reducing transportation costs and improving businesses’ access to domestic and international markets. Modern wholesale markets will help strengthen links between producers, distributors, and retailers, while new shopping malls and supermarkets will diversify retail channels and better meet consumer demand.
These investments are also expected to create favorable conditions for businesses, attract domestic and foreign investors, and generate new jobs. By upgrading its commercial infrastructure, Tay Ninh aims to make better use of its advantages in regional trade and transport connectivity.
The province’s strategy reflects a broader push to improve the efficiency of goods circulation and build a more modern, integrated commercial network. By 2030, the planned facilities are expected to contribute to economic growth and reinforce Tay Ninh’s role as a trade and logistics gateway between Viet Nam and Cambodia.
