Art collector Thuy Anh recently introduced to the public in Hanoi her vibrant collection of lotus paintings titled "Pink Lotus: Paris - Hanoi in June” after making splash in Paris.

Before being introduced to domestic art lovers, this collection, including 18 works featuring lotus flowers, such as "Lotus Season" (Pham An Hai), "West Lake Lotus" (Hai Kien), "Pink Lotus" (Dao Lien Huong), "Lotus in Summer" (Binh Nhi) and "Golden Lotus Season", was brought to Paris on May 19th, President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. The collection left lasting impressions on visitors and contributed to the promotion of Vietnam’s beauty and people.

A charming art talk was held at the iconic Hanoi villa, 49 Tran Hung Dao, featuring 18 stunning lotus paintings from collector Thuy Anh's "Pink Lotus" collection.

"People in Paris were very interested and asked for permission to take many photos and videos. Everyone enjoyed them with great enthusiasm and emotion," said Thuy Anh.

Speaking about the ownership of the collection of paintings, Thuy Anh said that there were some special things in her journey of collecting lotus paintings. There are three lotus paintings that were given to her by three painters: Nguyen Van Duc, Binh Nhi, and Dao Huong. Nearly half of the 18 lotus paintings in the collection were collected through charity auctions and support for the Vietnam Art and Cultural Diplomacy Committee. The rest she directly selected and collected from painters whose styles she admire.

This event is part of a series of ongoing art activities that Thuy Anh has organized over the years to honour the beauty of the lotus flower - a symbol of Vietnamese culture and offer art enthusiasts a chance to immerse themselves in a world of unique artistic creations and gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam's rich culture.

Previously, collector Thuy Anh had organized many meaningful discussions and exhibitions, such as "Streets and Flowers" at the end of 2021 with the desire to dispel the gloomy atmosphere of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Most of the paintings were collected during auctions where artists donated their works to support frontline workers against the pandemic./.
