Media Center Officially Opens to Cover Landmark 14th National Party Congress
A state-of-the-art media headquarters dedicated to broadcasting the 14th National Party Congress officially opened its doors at the National Convention Center in Hanoi on January 14.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew high-profile attendance, including Politburo members Tran Cam Tu, Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, and Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theory Council. They were joined by secretaries of the Party Central Committee, ministerial leaders, media executives, and a large contingent of local and global journalists.
The establishment of the press hub was overseen by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, working in lockstep with inter-agency partners following task assignments outlined in Conclusion No. 01 on April 3, 2024.
Built to world-class standards, the center features: A meticulously designed workspace equipped with over 150 advanced computer stations, ultra-high-speed internet connectivity, a comprehensive suite of technical gear tailored for seamless journalistic output.
To ensure fast, accurate, and comprehensive coverage, the center is working hand-in-hand with the country's flagship media pillars—including Vietnam Television (VTV), Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), and Nhan Dan Newspaper—to stream clean broadcast signals, raw audio feeds, and high-definition photography.

As part of the opening day itinerary, delegates and media personnel toured specialized book and press showcases tailored for the Congress. Among the highlights was a historical exhibition curated by the Vietnam News Agency titled “Under the Party leadership, the nation enters a new era,” which displays roughly 500 archival photographs.
Directly following the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the center hosted its inaugural international press conference to brief reporters on the upcoming schedule of the 14th National Party Congress./.
