Khanh Hoa Targets Green, Smart Marine Economy

With its strategic location, long coastline, extensive seaport system and Truong Sa special zone, Khanh Hoa Province is well positioned to develop a modern, green and smart marine economy.

As part of efforts to implement Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW on building Vietnam into a strong maritime nation, the Khanh Hoa provincial Party Committee has set clear goals and measures for marine economic development in the new period.

The province aims to make the marine economy a key driver of growth, with a focus on sustainable development, digital transformation and improved competitiveness. It plans to achieve average annual GRDP growth of 11–12% during 2026–2030, while the digital economy is expected to account for 35% of GRDP.

Total factor productivity is targeted to contribute more than 55% of economic growth, while labor productivity is expected to increase by an average of 11% each year.

Khanh Hoa is also focusing on making better use of its marine resources, expanding seaports and maritime services, and promoting tourism and other industries linked to the sea. At the same time, the province aims to protect marine ecosystems and strengthen the sustainable use of marine resources.

With these efforts, Khanh Hoa seeks to turn its natural advantages into long-term economic strength and become a leading marine economic center in Vietnam.
