Wet weather to hit Hanoi, northern provinces

During the New Year holidays, the northern region, including Hanoi, will experience wet weather, cold and cold spells, with the lowest temperature hitting 13-15 degrees Celsius.

The National Centre for Hydrometeorology Forecasting reported the northern provinces will have wet weather, cloudy skies and occasional rain from December 30.

The temperature will gradually decrease, with cold spells seen in the mountainous region.

On December 31 and January 1, rainfall will reduce, and in the afternoon, the area will have sunshine and experience level 3 northeastern winds. It will still be cold in the mountainous areas, with the highest daytime temperature reaching 18-21 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, in the central provinces, the weather in the first three days of the New Year will be more rainy and sometimes sunny.

In Ho Chi Minh City, it will be sunny during the holidays.

The weather will be cool in the Central Highlands and the south with daytime temperatures reaching 32-33 degrees Celsius, and the lowest temperature at night reaching 23-24 degrees.
