Vietnam, Bosnia-Herzegovina strengthen relations

Hanoi, May 4 (VNA) – Vietnam appreciates its traditional ties and comprehensive cooperation with Bosnia-Herzegovina, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Tuan said while presenting his credentials to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Trade between the two nations is relatively small but has potential, Tuan stated.

He went on to express his wish that under the BiH Presidency’s leadership, the Eastern European country would benefit from its development and integration progress, contributing to regional security and stability.

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanic took the occasion to congratulate Vietnam on the 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification, saying his country could learn from the Southeast Asian nation’s recovery efforts and achievements over the last four decades.

He pledged to create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese diplomat to fulfil his tenure.
