Cuong held a working session with General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Union (WFTU) George Mavrikos, during which he thanked the WFTU for its support for Vietnam.

The Vietnamese official met with President of the Lao Federation of Trade Union (LFTU) Pan Noymany. They agreed to strengthen ties between the VGCL and the LFTU.

On June 7, Cuong held talks with Tomoko Nishimoto, the International Labour Organisation’s Regional Director for Asia- Pacific as well as trade union leaders from Belarus, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
