Hanoi, February 26 (VNA) - Vietnam left for Indonesia on February 25 to prepare for the first round of the Davis Cup Asia/Ocenia Zone Group II matches.
Captain Truong Quoc Bao will lead Ly Hoang Nam, Nguyen Hoang Thien, Pham Minh Tuan and Vu Artem in the tournament.
The matches will be held from March 4 to 6 at the Gelora Manahan Tennis Stadium Complex in Surakarta.
The teams have crossed paths only once before, with the Vietnamese winning way back in 1970.
Indonesia won one tie in 2015, but couldn't advance to the promotion play-off after losing to Pakistan in July.
Vietnam were promoted from Group III in March, after suffering relegation from Group II the year before.
