Cairo, May 17 (VNA) – Vietnam and Sudan should foster bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially agriculture and industry.
Sudan President Omar Al Bashir made the statement during his May 16 reception for Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt and Sudan Do Hoang Long, in Sudan’s capital city of Khartoum.
The President expressed his admiration for Vietnam’s glorious history and the current socio-economic achievements.
He pledged to instruct Sudanese ministries and sectors to implement activities consolidating bilateral ties between the two countries.
Ambassador Do Hoang Long pledged to do his utmost to develop bilateral relations between the two nations during his term.
The Vietnamese diplomat is scheduled to work with staff of Vietnam’s Honorary Consular Office in Sudan, officials from Sudanese ministries and the Central Bank’s Governor on May 17-18.
