Doing Exercise Free of Charge in Gia Lam Park

In order to encourage people to do exercises, Hanoi authorities have set up exercise machines such as running machines, air walkers, and exercise bars in many parks in Hanoi, including 30 machines in Gia Lam Park in Ngoc Lam Ward, Long Bien District.

Placed in public playgrounds, these exercise machines give great benefits to locals who can use them to do exercises free of charge. During early morning and late afternoon, the areas with machines are often crowded with people.

The pilot plan of installing exercise machines in public areas has received much praise from Hanoi residents as it provides a method to enhance people’s health safely and economically. It is expected that exercise machines will be placed in other public playgrounds around the city.
