A festival of colour and flavour

The Festival "Da Lat Floral Beauty - 2004" brought together roughly 400,000 pots and corbeils of flowers. However, even with all these spreading around the city, visitors may not be satisfied. Therefore, with their hospitality and their pride in the kingdom of flowers, the local residents were willing to contribute thousands upon thousands of their own pots and baskets of flowers. Blossoms overflowed the streets and the front lawns, the portals and the balconies, dangling from verandahs, swaying in the corridors, or gleaming among the pine trees, not to mention millions and millions of little chrysanthemums and wild daisies, the traditional ornamental blooms of the city itself. While I was walking among the ocean of blossoms, I sometimes wondered myself whether I was strolling on this earth or getting lost in some heavenly Eden.
