Hanoi, April 14 (VNA) – The fourth Vietnam-China border defence friendship exchange is scheduled to take place in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau and Yunnan province of China in May.

The event will be co-chaired byVietnamese Defence MinisterGeneral Ngo XuanLich, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, and Sen. Lieut. Gen Fan Changlong, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China.


Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen Nguyen Chi Vinhon April 13 visited Lai Chauprovince to inspect preparations for the event.


He laudedthe province’s preparations, saying that the exchange is vital to tighteningdefence ties between the two nations.

He asked relevant agencies and forces to accelerate the work, ensuring the exchange will be a success, contributing to enhancing the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.
