On August 25, 2011, General Vo Nguyen Giap, a brilliant student of late President Ho Chi Minh and excellent child of the nation and a legendary general who is beloved and respected by both Vietnamese people and international friends, was 100 years old.
His life and great contribution is considered an immortal epic. After one century, everything can change but the values of his life and brilliant career have been in the hearts of all Vietnamese generations and peace-loving people around the world.
For many decades, General Vo Nguyen Giap gives special feelings to and encourages generations of Vietnam Pictorial’s reporters and editors in its development. Established after the glorious Dien Bien Phu Victory, Vietnam Pictorial has always accompanied the struggles for national liberation in the past and the present-day cause of national construction, renovation and development.
