The charm of Guilin

Located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China, Guilin is a tourism city famous for its history, culture and scenery.
Guilin is home to dramatic sights like the Li river, the Taohua river, Gui, Rong, Shan and Mulong lakes, Jing Jiang Wang Cheng, Dong Xi alley and Xiao Yao tower.

It takes about 6 hours to get from Hanoi to Nanning by car and 3 hours from Nanning to Guilin by high-speed train.  Visiting the city, tourists can take boat tours to enjoy the picturesque views along the banks of the Li river. They can also visit Golden (Sun) Tower and Silver (Moon) Tower on Gui lake, which look stunningly beautiful at night.

Guilin has also been known for its 2,000-year-old history and culture, and ancient architectural structures such as Xiao Yao tower and Dong Xi alley on Xiufeng street. Jing Jiang Wang Cheng in the city’s center is another outstanding tourist spot in Guilin. Built in 1372, the Palace is older than the Forbidden city in Beijing.
