PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc seeks to boost local cooperation with Romania

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his wish for stronger partnership between localities of Vietnam and Romania during his visit to Prahova, a county with dynamic economic development in Romania, on April 14 (local time).

At a working session with Prahova’s governor Ioana Madalina Lupea, the Vietnamese PM highlighted the ties between several pairs of localities of the two countries, such as the memorandum of understanding signed between Hoa Binh and Prahova, Ben Tre and Tulchea, Da Nang and Timisoara, and Lao Cai and Hunedoara.

Phuc said there is great potential for cooperation between Prahova and Vietnamese provinces, particularly in fields where the Romanian locality is strong in, such as tourism, education-training, oil and gas, agriculture and forestry, which coincide with the priorities in Vietnam’s cooperation with Romania.

Governor Ioana Madalina Lupea welcomed the Vietnamese PM to the county, and informed her guest that the county’s authorities have coordinated with the Chamber of Commerce and the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania to organize business workshops and meetings to introduce Prahova’s strength and opportunities for economic, tourism, education partnership as well as cultural exchange to Vietnamese firms and localities.

She affirmed that Prahova wanted to expand its cooperation with Vietnamese localities.
