The Da Nang City People’s Committee handed over the appointment decision to Chanh at a ceremony on May 5, and the decision took effect as of May 2014. Vo Cong Chanh, who was born in 1971, has graduated from a law school and is holding a master’s degree in literature. He now assumes the new role to replace his predecessor Dang Cong Ngu who was appointed the first leader of the island district in 2009.
