Thien Sinh Joint-Stock Company was established in 1987 on the basis of the joint venture of Ever Rich Development Company, Hong Kong, Dong Thap Muoi Import-Export JCS and SAFANUTRO Research Group under former Song Be Province’s Science and Technique Department. The company was first known in Vietnam for its technology of producing organic fertilizers. In 1994, the company restructured its organization and attracted a large amount of investment capital that helped create a breakthrough development. In 2003, the company built its headquarters and a factory in an area of 10ha in An Tay Commune, Ben Cat District, Binh Duong Province and expanded production by investing in an automatic production line with a capacity of 300 tonnes of fertilizers/year. 

 

Right from its first days of operation, the company focused on research and it successfully produced a kind of fertilizer sprayed on leaves named KOMIX that was awarded the Golden Rice Prize and has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as a technological advance and is used widely in cultivation.

Starting from a small business, the company has so far become a powerful enterprise with over 800 employees. It has four affiliates in the North, the South’s eastern region, the Central Highlands and the Cuu Long River delta, namely Thien Phuc, Thien Giang, Thien Ha, Thien An and two affiliates in Laos and Cambodia. The company has yielded about 500,000 tonnes of fertilizers/year.

The Company’s products are produced mainly from peat and seaweed, which are organic material resources. Thanks to promoting research and applying modern bio-technology, the quality management system ISO 9001:2008 and the environment management system ISO 14001:2010, the company has produced a series of high-quality bio-fertilizers, such as mineral-organic fertilizers, micro-organic fertilizers and bio-organic fertilizers. So far, the company has about 40 categories of fertilizer products on the list allowed to be produced and used widely.

The company’s bio-organic fertilizers provide the soil with useful live microorganisms to stabilize nitrogen and dissolve phosphate and fibrous matter into humus that help supplement nutriments to plants, enrich the soil and contribute to environmental protection. The company also produces specialized fertilizes to meet the demand for development of each stage of the plants and trees, namely rubber, coffee, pepper, cashew, fruit, rice and corn. 

Over the years, KOMIX products have been recognized as high-quality Vietnamese products and awarded several prizes, including the Golden Rice Prize, the Golden Cup for the Green Career and the title “A Friend of Farmers” and other prizes at international agricultural exhibitions and fairs. Particularly, the company received Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Since its establishment, the company has always attached much importance to the quality of products and pledged to provide customers with high-quality and environmentally friendly products and the best after-sale services. The company’s leaders consider human resources a decisive factor for the success and sustainable development so they pay due attention to training the employees and continually improving the working environment.

Being aware of its top target of serving farmers, the company annually organizes over 1,000 workshops and training courses to instruct farmers nationwide to use fertilizers in a correct and effective way and collect farmers’ opinions to improve the quality of products. The company annually spends billions dong for charitable activities, such as building houses, schools and roads in remote areas, granting scholarships for poor students and supporting a programme for eye surgery for poor people. It is the co-founder and co-sponsor of the programme entitled “Enlighening Green Dreams” on Binh Duong Television.

The company has constantly improved its technology and applied scientific advances to producing high-quality and environmentally friendly fertilizers. In the next 50 years, the company targets to develop into a strong multi-national group.
